Janeé originally hails from Birmingham, AL, but her childhood was spent in College Park, GA, Brookline, MA and Iowa City, IA before attending college in NYC. A hip-hop buff and avid lover of words, Janeé graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Africana Studies. She also earned her MFA in Fiction from NYU’s Creative Writing program before launching a career as an entertainment journalist.

In addition to her current position as Managing Editor of Bossip.com, Janeé has produced several panels related to her career as a female entertainment writer and entrepreneur.
